SUN GE8100R is a perfec solution for small FTTx deployments. The Optical Line Terminal GE8100R is a small 1-port GEPON headend which can supports up to 64 ONUs over single multimode fiber. The total bandwith of the GEPON interface is 1Gbps which is enough for typical triple-play implementation. SUN GE8100R is eqiped with single 10/100/1000Mbps RJ-45 Ethernet uplink. The OLT performs most of the typical switch technologies like 802.1q vlan tagging or IGMP snooping wchich makes it perfect for IPTV deployments.
